The innovations made by Madhya Pradesh Police for the control of crimes and punishing the criminals were appreciated in the Director General and Inspector General of Police Conference held in Jaipur on September 6.
AGD Kailash Makwana detailed regarding innovations of Madhya Pradesh Police in the conference.
The conference is held every year, in which police chiefs of different states of the country participate. In the conference important topics related to the police are discussed. At the same time decisions are taken to implement good suggestions discussed by participating police officials. The need for better coordination was also felt in view of the increasing challenges before the police. For the last few years, meetings of police chiefs of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Goa and Daman and Diu have been organized for coordinating the Western Regional Police.
In the meeting discussions were mainly on the road safety, crime against women and children, organized crime, financial crime, internal security and law and order. Next year, this meeting will be held in Bhopal and would be host by Madhya Pradesh Police.
ADG of Police Makwana informed about the innovations being done by Madhya Pradesh Police. He said that Madhya Pradesh Police has developed a special system for investigating identified and sensational crimes which has led to positive results and a significant increase in the conviction rate.
Recently, the officers of Madhya Pradesh Police have been honored by FICCI with the Smart Policing Award in New Delhi for the serious (identified) and sensational crime scheme.
