In the wake of upcoming festive season Madhya Pradesh police headquarters issued an alert to the Superintendents of Police of all the districts of the State to make adequate security arrangements during festivals so that people could celebrate all the festivals with peace and harmony and along with this meetings of peace committees should be held.
ADG Intelligence Kailash Makwana alerted the Superintendents of Police that recently IB has been arrested in connection with the infiltration of terrorists in India and this alert issued should be taken seriously. Keeping the alert in mind, during the festivals, along with a strong security system, sensitive areas should also be closely examined. In the ongoing month Janamasthami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Anant Chaturdashi and Moharram are scheduled and require strong vigil to maintain law and order and peace.
ADG Makwana has instructed the Superintendents of Police to collect information of the statues and tableaux which are traditionally installed during festivals. Also it should be ensured that debris is removed and other obstructions from the path of religious processions during festivals, so that the traffic remains smooth and commuters do not face any problem in commuting.
The obstructions like trees and loose low lying electricity wires have to be managed before the scheduled processions are taken out in the city.
ADG Makwana has issued detailed guidelines to Superintendents of Police for the purpose of maintaining peace and law and order during the festivals. Additional police force has also been provided for Janmashtami festival.
