MP ready for Kishian, World Cup shooting competition

"Madhya Pradesh is ready to host Kishian and World Cup shooting competition" said Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Jitu Patwari. 

Sports Minister Patwari was addressing the inauguration of 63rd National Shooting Competition at Shooting Academy, here on Saturday. He launched the 63rd National Shooting (Rifle / Pistol) competition aiming at the rifle.

He informed that the World Class Shooting Academy of Madhya Pradesh in the capital Bhopal is in accordance with international standards.

On this occasion Sports and Youth Welfare SL Thoussen, Joint Secretary General of National Rifle Shooting Association of India, Pawan Singh, Joint Director Sports Vinod Pradhan and B.S. Yadav and other officers and a large number of shooting players were present.

Addressing the inaugural programme, Sports Minister Jitu Patwari said that talented players of Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy Aishwarya Pratap Singh and Chinki Yadav have made the country and the state proud by providing quota to India in Tokyo Olympics. He said that it will be our endeavor that ten players of Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy get Olympic quota in the next Olympics.

 Patwari said that World Class Shooting Academy of Madhya Pradesh is fully ready to host events like Asian and World Cup.

The Madhya Pradesh Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Kamal Nath is committed to the bright future of sportspersons by promoting sports.

Shooting players and every possible help will be given to develop the game more.

Director Sports and Youth Welfare SL Thoussen told that 7 thousand 472 players from different states of the country are participating in this national competition, this is a record. He informed that 15 shooter of the country's Olympic quota will also give their best performance in this competition.

Sports Director Thoussen said that infrastructure development activities are continuing in the shooting academy. He welcomed the players participating in the competition and wished them good luck by motivating them to play in the spirit of the game.

Joint Secretary General of National Rifle Shooting Association of India, Pawan Singh said that such a competition is being organized after almost 50 years. He said that it is the latest and modern shooting range in the world. International level arrangements have been made for the players in the shooting academy.

Under the competition, players practiced in the Ayer Air Rifle Men's section and the matches will be played from Sunday.

It is noteworthy that the 63rd National Shooting (Rifle / Pistol) competition has been organized from December 7 to January 4, at the world-class Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy.
