MP team leaves ground in quarter-finals of badminton competition

The Madhya Pradesh team had to face defeat in the quater-finals at 64th School Games, National School Ball Badminton Competition, 2018-19. After a gap of 17 long years, the team of Madhya Pradesh reached quarter finals in this comoetition.

The 64th School Games, National School Ball Badminton Competition, 2018-19, Madhya Pradesh was held inNellore Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly, the team oerformed brilliantly in other matches. But, in quarter finals the team could nlt oerform well. It is noteworthy that from 1997 to 2002 in age group 19 Madhya Pradesh had entered the quarter-finals in the boys and girls category. 17 years later, the players of Madhya Pradesh entered the quarter-finals.

Under 14 boys category, Tamil Nadu defeated Madhya Pradesh by 35-32 / 35-33 points and entered semi-finals. In same age group Tamil Nadu defeated Madhya Pradesh in girls category by 35-28, 35 -32 points and entered semi-finals.

Under 17 boys category Telangana defeated Madhya Pradesh by 35-30 / 35-32 points and in girls categiry Bengaluru defeated Madhya Pradesh by 35 - 32, 35 - 29 points.

Under 19 boys category Telangana defeated Madhya Pradesh by 35-33, 35-32 points , while Andhra Pradesh defeated Madhya Pradesh in girls category by 35-28,35-33 points and enter semi-finals.
