Under the second phase of ‘Special Skill Development Workshop’ series organised at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya concluded Mysore painting workshop on Sunday.
Under this initiative, Mysore painting workshop, which was organised under special skill development training workshop from June 14, 2019 in the muse-um with the aim of addressing the commoners with various aspects of Indian culture and providing them skills concluded.
During this workshop, the exhibition of 40 paintings made by the participants was jointly inaugurated by the Prof Sarit Kumar Chaudhuri, Director, IGRMS.
On this concluding occasion, the Director and traditional Mysore paintings artist, Chandrika and Dipti jointly distributed certificates to all the participants.
On this occasion, Joint Director, Dilip Singh told that, the creation of skilled craftsmen and artisans of the new generation is a very complicated task for preservation of traditional inheritance art and craft of nation. This work are execute under the special skill development workshop by the museum.
The workshop was addressed by the Chandrika and Dipti from Karnataka.
They imparted training on the subjects and threw light on the importance and nuances of Mysore paintings.
The participants were guided by the members of Art Section of IGRMS, Pravin Narad, Chief Artist, Lalit Baagul, Senior Artist and Ratnakar Dhok, painter regarding various technical nuances related to Mysore painting.
