Congress Legislature Party Leader Narasingha Mishra on Tuesday brought a Privilege Motion against SP, Security, Bhubaneswar, Kanhu Charan Patnaik, alleging that he expressed his views regarding removal of the PSO from him (Mishra) in a section of media.
“The SP, Security, Bhubaneswar is a public servant and he should not have told the Press about the issue of taking out of PSO from me regarding which I had appraised the House. His views in the Press amount to breach of privilege of a member and the House as well. I demand he be called to the House and reprimanded or any other action taken by the Chair,” demanded Mishra.
However, Speaker SN Patro said he would examine the matter and come out a statement soon. Later during Zero Hour, Mishra demanded that the SP, Security, Bhubaneswar should be shifted from the post as the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) has asked the Government to fill the post by an OPS officer.
“Patnaik is not an OPS cadre officer and he should not continue in office as per the direction of the SAT,” demanded Mishra.
Mishra too slammed the Government for not implementing SAT order that asked to appoint an OPS officer in the post.
