Haryana joint chief electoral officer Inder Jeet on Sunday said that new votes would be made till September 24, for the upcoming Vidhan Sabha Elections to be held on October 21.
He said that one can apply online on the website www.nsvp.in for new votes, and toll free number-1950 of Election Commission can be contacted for more details. All the issues relating to the pending applications would be resolved by focusing on Form 6, he said.
Inder Jeet said that the process of making votes is a continuous process and the revised electoral list published on August 27 would be used in Vidhan Sabha elections.
About 1.83 crore voters would be able to exercise their franchise.
He said that during the model code of conduct, no Minister would be able to use a government vehicle for election work. Only from his residence, he would be allowed to do the necessary government work. Government vehicles would not be used to do government as well as political work, he added.
He further said that the cVIGIL app of the Commission is functional. Any person could send the information related to violation of model code of conduct, to the Commission and action would be taken by the concerned Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer within 100 minutes.
The toll-free number 1950 of the Commission can also be contacted, he added.
