FIR against SMC member

For providing sub standard food in MDM, an FIR has been lodged against managing committee vice-president Raj Kumar Ram of primary school, Resua under Manjhiaon police station, Garhwa on Saturday. The guardians of the students alleged that sub-standard food was being provided to students and fruits which were served in break was stopped by the accused. Manjhiaon PS in-charge Vinoy Kumar said, “On the complaint of Block Extention Education Officer Nand Kishore Tiwari under section of 353 IPC. Investigation is under way."

Post Life Insurance

Ranchi Postal Division organised ‘Dak Jeevan Beema and Gramin Dak Jeevan Beema Mahamela’ here on Saturday. CPMG Shahshi Shalini Kujur inaugurated the fair in the presence of Director, Postal Services, Jharkhand Circle, Satyakam. Sr Post Superintendent, Ranchi SK Sinha, Dy Divisional Manager SK Chaurasia along with SK Gupta and others were present on the occasion. During the fair review of postal insurance during last financial year was done and Postmans, who performed well during the year were awarded by the CPMG, who asked postmen to connect the common man with postal insurance schemes and government welfare schemes.

Inter-house Exhibition at SBPS

In its initiative to promote art- integrated learning, SBPS, Ranchi organised the Inter- house Exhibition-Effervescence on October 19. The exhibition was inaugurated by the chief guest Manohar Lal (City Co-ordinator, CBSE & Principal Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School) in the presence of the school Principal Paramjit Kaur. The activity aims at providing a common platform to the students to give shape to their innovative ideas and learn from each other’s experience. Each house depicted their models related to different subjects i.e. English, Hindi, Maths, Science, Social Studies, General Knowledge, French, German and Painting in the form of magic trick, puppet show, still models, working models, live shows etc. Students also displayed different games and quizzes which exhibited their knowledge and interest in various subjects.

Informative Activity on Post Office

Class Nursery of Delhi Public School Ranchi performed an informative activity on Post Office. Through this skit, they learned about the overall functioning and working process of the Post office in our day to day life. It was a delight to see the tiny tots perform the beautiful skits and learning responsible things at such an early age. The main theme of the skit was sending a Diwali gift to the Grandfather which in itself is a wonderful thing to teach the kids. With increasing lack of compassion and respect for elders in this generation, it has become really important to instil the basic qualities in our child. The child in the skit was happy to be able to send the Gift to his Grandfather through the help of Post Office.

Rs 10 K aid to cancer patient

Lions Club of Bokaro thermal  has donated Rs 10,000 for treatment of 52-year-old Punam Devi, who has been battling breast cancer. She had moved around Bokaro saying that if the government refuses to pay for her treatment then she should be allowed euthanasia. Her other family members sold off the family land and her mother's jewellery to raise money for Punam's treatment. She sells stationary to pay for her weekly Chemotheraphy, but cannot afford the Rs  in lakh for her treatment.
