The Niti Aayog’s senior consultant (health) Dr. K. Madan Gopal inspected the ‘Sugghar Laika Chinhari Shivir’ (Malnutrition care centre) at village Lahangar of Mahasamund district on Wednesday.
He appreciated the joint initiative of the health and women and child development departments for establishing better coordination for identification of critically and medium malnutrition children and then treating them at the centre.
Dr Madan Gopal also inspected the nutrition rehabilitation centre established at Mahasamund District Hospital.
Later, he held a meeting with Mahasamund district administrative and departmental officers falling under the ambit of Niti Aayog at the conference hall of district collector’s office.
He said that through Niti Aayog, the good practices of Aspirational Districts Programme are being implemented in other districts. Officiating collector sought cooperation to reduce the shortage of employees.
Dr K. Madan Gopal sought in detail the efforts and present status based on the specified index of different departments. The health, education, public health engineering, agriculture, skill development authority, animal husbandry, lead bank officer, e-district manager, women and child development officer and other departments and officials submitted their information before him.
