Chhattisgarh State Assembly Speaker Charandas Mahant expressed his ire over the ringing of a mobile phone inside the House in the midst of proceedings. He directed members not to bring their cell phone inside the House, or to keep it in silent mode. During the Question Hour, mobile phone of a member rang. The mobile phone continued to buzz for a long period, creating distraction. Speaker then stood from his seat and gave the directive. It’s however, a norm not to bring mobile inside the House.
