No candidate on Wednesday filed nomination papers for the Chhattisgarh’s four Lok Sabha seats for which notifications have already been issued.
Notification for the lone Bastar (ST) constituency, which will go to poll in the first phase on April 11, was issued on March 18. For Kanker, Mahasamund and Rajnandgaon parliamentary constituencies, where polling will be held on April 18 in the second phase, the notification was issued on March 19.
The 11 Lok Saba seats in the state will vote in three phases.
The last date of filing nomination papers for the first-phase polling is March 25 while for the second phase it is March 26.
Chhattisgarh chief electoral officer Subrat Sahoo said the state has around 1,91,06,285 electors of them 94,77,113 are men, 9438463 are women and 709 from third gender.
In Bastar Lok Sabha seat a total of 1372127 electors have been enrolled in the voters list. The three Lok Sabha seats, which will vote in the second phase, have altogether 4895719 voters.
For the first phase there are 1878 polling centres and 6484 polling centres for the second phase.
