Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Ravindra Choubey on Wednesday claimed that due to the economic policy of Bhupesh Baghel government Chhattisgarh is not facing the brunt of nationwide recession.
Talking to media persons, he said the farm loan waiver of state farmers and providing them Rs 2500 as Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy have increased their purchasing power and this has prevented the business in the state from econmic slowdown.
The nationwide recession has badly affected trade and commerce in the country and the worst affected is the automobile sector, he said.
He also informed that Congress leaders and workers are proceeding to national capital for Thursday’s birth anniversary programme of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
