Non-functional since 2015, Rajghat coal plant to be closed

In a major decision taken by the Delhi Cabinet it has been decided that Rajghat Coal plant will be closed officially which has been non-functional since 2015.

Taking care of environment and power generation factors, Delhi Government has also decided to convert the controversial plant in to 5000KW capacity Solar park.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the decision to close down the plant, where power generation was stopped due to pollution concerns in 2015, was taken during a meeting of the Delhi Cabinet.
