In a development in the indecent poster row of actor Papu Pompom’s upcoming movie ‘Mr. Kanheiya’, a notice was issued to the film’s producer Sitaram Agarwal on Tuesday.

The city Mahila police issued the notice to Agarwal regarding the controversial poster.

Earlier, reacting to the controversy, comedian Papu Pom Pom claimed that the picture was fabricated.

Giving clarification regarding the poster which triggered controversy for disrespecting women, the comedian in a video claimed that the pictures in the poster were morphed.

He claimed that the movie was shot at a college and someone might have clicked a photograph of a scene.

The production house has also issued a statement over the controversy and stated that the poster was not published by them.

In another development, ace sprinter Dutee Chand has lashed out at Papu Pompom after an audio of the actor making some derogatory remarks against the sprinter surfaced in the social media.

Dutee said, “I am deeply hurt by Papu Bhai’s comments on my personal life. I had just opposed the concept of the poster which depicts that women are slaves to men. I did not take anyone’s name and urged the production house to remove it. But the actor took it personally and got vindictive.”

She further alleged that some people are calling her up on behalf of the actor for the last four to five days and threatening her of dire consequences. She warned that she would file a defamation suit against the comedian soon.
