Now, CM for 70 plus seats in Assembly polls

Thursday, 29 August 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

Exhorting party workers in Hazaribag, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that the party can easily cross 70 plus figure in the Assembly polls if the cadres focus on booth strengthening. Addressing party workers in North Chhotanagpur Divison meeting on Wednesday, the CM said that PM Narendra Modi had given the slogan of “My booth, strongest booth” in the recent Lok Sabha elections and if the workers understand and work according to the slogan, the party can cross the target of 65 plus seats and achieve the figure of 70 plus seats in Assembly polls.

“At present, BJP has 14 seats out of the total 23 Assembly seats under North Chotanagpur division, while AJSU party, which is a constituent of NDA alliance, has two seats i.e. 16 total Seats have been given to us by the public. In the forthcoming Assembly elections, we have to work hard and from the organisational point of view, we should cultivate passion for work with special honesty and dedication. We have to go to street-by-street of all the villages of all the panchayats of all the mandals of all Assembly segments and knock the doors of each house and make people aware of the party's public welfare schemes. So that 23 out of all 23 seats in North Chotanagpur division fall in BJP's kitty,” he said.

The CM asked party officials to hold Assembly level core committee meeting within the next three days and by 15 September, the party should also open the Assembly level election office of the party and try to open the election office at the divison level also. “In order to continue the pace of development in the government of double engine in present time in Jharkhand, all of you activists will also have to work tirelessly and impartially for the next three months without stopping like a double engine,” he said.

The CM said that the robbers of Jharkhand have started reuniting again with the intention of looting Jharkhand, but, to save Jharkhand from the looters, every worker must come together and take a pledge from here that they will change the 65 plus slogan to 70 plus. “We all have to work together by making a special strategy. No other political party is close to us in the politics of Jharkhand in the present time. We have full support of public with us,” he said.

Addressing the workers, BJP State Organizational Secretary, Dharampal Singh said that as per the top leadership of the party, during the last Lok Sabha elections, the party had constituted the Assembly level core committee in all the constituencies and the Divisiona; core committee at the Division level. The upcoming Assembly elections will be fought through these core committees. For this, all the members of the core committee will have to be engaged from now and the party's activity will have to be done with booth level. Each member of the core committee will have to take charge of the panchayats, only then we will be able to achieve our set target, he added.

The Chief Minister and other leaders were welcomed by the members of the Hazaribagh Nagar BJP mandal with a 51 Kg garland.

Workers of all the 23 Legislative Assemblies of Hazaribagh, Koderma, Ramgarh, Giridih, Bokaro and Dhanbad districts participated. Dhanbad MP Pashupati Nath Singh, Koderma MP Annapurna Devi, Land Revenue and Sports Minister Amar Kumar Bauri, Education Minister Neera Yadav and dozens of legislators were present in the meeting.
