Odisha will be participating as ‘partner State’ in the Indus Food Meet organised by Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) and Department of Commerce, Government of India, said MSME, WCD and SSEPD Minister Prafulla Samal after chairing the preparatory meeting held here on Thursday last.
The meet will be held at India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh between January 14 and 15. It is conceived to create a global food and beverage market place in India, in line with SIAL, ANUGA and Gulf Food.
MSME Secretary LN Gupta said that as a "partner State", Odisha will be setting up its own pavilion with 30 exhibitors showcasing various processed food items of Odisha like spices, cashew, confectionary items, processed agro food, etc.
The Directorate of Horticulture and APICOL along with local industries will showcase the processed agro food items as well as spices that are produced in Odisha.
