Opposition parties have planned floor strategy for the Monsoon session of Assembly beginning on July 22. The Opposition parties, Congress, JMM, JVM and others have decided to corner the Government on issue such as mob lynching, drought and farmers problem along with unemployment in State.
JMM general secretary, Supriyo Bhattacharaya said, “The Raghubar Das Government in its four and half year regime has failed to meet people’s expectation, incidents of mob lynching have gone up in State during BJP regime. There is sense of insecurity among minority communities after Tabrez Ansari lynching incident at Saraikela.” Bhattacharaya further said that the State is witnessing famine like situation but the Government is least concern with farmer woes.
The JMM general secretary said, “Much of the State Government farmers’ policy is only on paper. Apart from farmers’ woes, rising unemployment in State is a major issue.” The JMM has 19 MLAs in the Assembly.
Meanwhile, Congress to corner Government in Assembly session has called a legislature party meet ahead of Monsoon session. At the meet the nine Congress lawmakers will chalk out strategy to attack State Government.
State Congress spokesperson, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo said, “The Congress party has asked all its district unit presidents to provide the list of issues from their respective districts on which the legislators will try to attack Raghubar Das Government.”
Meanwhile, the State BJP which is cloud nine with its splendid performance in Lok Sabha election is ready to face Opposition charges. BJP chief whip in Assembly Radha Krishan Kishore said, “The Government will try to table its four and half years achievement in the floor of the Assembly so that people get aware about the various welfare schemes of the State Government.” Kishore said that through various legislative procedures such as call attention, question hour and zero hour, the Government will take up issue concerning people.
The Assembly session which is scheduled from July 22 to 26 is likely to be the last Assembly session of Raghubar Government as the duration between two sessions is minimum six months.
With Assembly election scheduled on November/December the new Government formation is likely to be completed by January mid.
