Opposition baraat without groom: CM

Monday, 15 April 2019 | PNS | Palwal

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Sunday targeted the opposition’s mahagathbandhan saying that their baraat is without a groom and cannot take on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Manohar Lal while addressing ‘a Vijay Sankalp’ rally of the BJP in village Aurangabad in Palwal which is part of Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency, said that the opposition is without a Prime Ministerial nominee.

The Chief Minister said that everyone know the reality of Rahul Gandhi, Mayawati, Chandrababu Naidu, Mamta Banerjee – the contenders for the post of Prime Minister from the opposition which has failed to reach a consensus on one person. “It’s a baraat without the groom,” he said.

He said that the Prime Minister worked for changing the lifestyle of the poor and downtrodden during the five year BJP rule. Ayushman Yojna, Ujjawala Yojna were among the welfare schemes launched, he said.

Since the opposition does not have a strong Prime Ministerial nominee, the people have made up their mind to re-elect Modi as the Prime Minister for all round development of the country and protecting the security and integrity of the country, he said.

Manohar Lal said that the entire world has seen the leadership qualities of the Prime Minister. Today, terrorists and those who give shelter to them fear from the name of Modi who had adopted a tough stand against terrorists and separatist elements, he said.

The country has emerged as a super power due to the policies and programmes of the Prime Minister, he added.

Taking a dig at the Jannayak Janta Party, the Chief Minister said that when the leaders of JJP come to seek your votes, give them the symbol (chappals) of their party.

Referring to the Congress nominee Lalit Nagar from Faridabad, he said that the opposition party has given the nomination to the brother of their favourite middleman of party’s son-in-law (Robert Vadra).

Leave aside getting the lead in nine assembly segments in the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency, I will accept his strength even if Lalit Nagar manages a win in his village Tigaon, he said.

Targeting the opposition, the Chief Minister further said that the regime of parchi and kharcha (slips and corruption) is over. The BJP has given a corruption free and transparent administration to the people, Manohar Lal added.

He said that the BJP government in Haryana during its regime gave 60,000 jobs to unemployed youth on merit. Those who lacked merit, for them courses were started in Skill Development University so that they could get jobs in private sector, he added.

The Chief Minister further said that 1.50 lakh youth got jobs in the private sector while loan upto Rs one crore for unemployed had been made a reality.

As far as investment is concerned, Haryana had improved its ranking and reached the 3rd position from 14th spot.

In case the people wanted inclusive development of all sections of the society they should on May 12 press the Lotus symbol to ensure victory of all the 10 BJP candidates in Haryana, he added.

Speaking on the occasion BJP nominee from Faridabad and Union Minister Krishna Pal Gurjjar said that the work done by the BJP government in Haryana had overshadowed the work done by the opposition parties during their past 30 years rule.
