Over 1,000 deployed for security for I-Day, Rakshabandhan

Over a thousand security personnel would be deployed across the State Capital to maintain law and order and celebrate Independence Day and Rakshabandhan.

Keeping in view the security arrangements on the occasion of Independence Day and Rakshabandhan festival, IG Bhopal zone Yogesh Deshmukh and DIG city Irshad Wali as instructed by all police in-charge staff to visit sensitive areas of their police station areas, intensive checking of suspicious vehicles and checking of hotels, restaurants, lodges and public places.

The police are monitoring round the clock and vehicles are checked at 5 checking points in Khajuri, Sukhisewania, Ratibad, Misrod and Bilkharia to check criminals and anti-social activities. In addition more than 100 checking points are made to check suspicious vehicles and movement of anti-social elements. To maintain peace and security, the police station of Misrod, Bagsevania, Parvalia, Tittinagar, Shahpura, Kolar, Habibganj, Jahangirabad, Teelajamalpura, Nazeerabad, Piplani, Govindpura, Mangalwara, Khajuri, Bairagarh, along with staff, stationed by police station in sensitive areas, crowded And after enduring tour in the market, made market system and security system. During the visit, security was discussed with traders and general public and the problem was known, as well as the suspects were checked.

In view of security arrangements on Independence Day, BD&DS checked sensitive place bus stand, Bhopal station, mall, mart etc. and hotels, lodges, dhabas and police stations in Hanumanganj, Mangalwara, MP Nagar, Talaiya, Habibganj etc. In the security check Ren Basera in the state capital were checked.
