Palamu BJP remembers Pulwama martyr

Monday, 18 February 2019 | PNS | DALTONGANJ

BJP in Daltonganj paid rich tribute to the son of Jharkhand Vijay Soreng of Gumla who was martyred in Pulwama in Kasmir in the worst ever terror attack.

The speakers first paid floral tributes to the photo frame of the martyr and then gave speeches.

Some speeches were hard hitting. Some were more realistic. Some speeches were just filler.

A cadre of the BJP coming from the minority community was more caustic in his speech asking his community member to explain as to where religion permits bloodshed of the innocents.

He was most critical to the community’s wayward youths who are lured into the trade of killing in the name of getting jannat.

The homage paying programme was led by Palamu district president of the BJP Narendra Pandey , veteran leader Shyam Narain Dubey, senior leader Prem Singh, Amlesh Singh, vice chairman of the 20 point programme implementation committee Bipin Bihari Singh, Kishore K Pandey, Sheo Kumar Mishra, vice chairman of Palamu Zila Parishad Sanjay K Singh and others.

A BJP leader in his speech took pot shots at the activists of human rights who as he said always remain up on their feet but these human rights activists are silent on the killing of so many troopers here in the country.

This leader further flayed those who last year had returned their awards citing intolerance but now their tongues are sealed to utter a word of sympathy for the lost lives.

Senior BJP speakers were most guarded in their tone. Their speech centered round maximum exercise of restraint and full drive for revenge.

There was no inflammation in any of the speeches made by these senior leaders.

However one BJP fellow tried to whip up a situation wherein he alleged that a man from the minority community had not raised his hands when everyone was chanting

Bharat Mata ki Jai in a function recently held which was of BJP’s arch rival here not very far from the venue of this tribute giving ceremony last week itself.
