Paradise group extends support to old age home

Paradise group, which is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, visited an old age home, Vihar Samaj Kalyan Sansthan in Nagdi and distributed goods worth Rs.1.35 lakh among the inmates on Sunday.

The members of Paradise distributed sweaters, refrigerators, inverters, shawls and edibles to the inmates during their visit on Sunday. Vihar Samaj Kalyan Sansthan (VISKASAN), is a secular, non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization established in 1983.

Founded by 14 like-minded couples in May 2019, Paradise has been working for relief to the poor, medical relief, education and advancement of any other object of general public utility without any distinction of religion, caste, colour. Aloke Poddar, the secretary of group said, “We welcome our new members contributing monthly. We request all to kindly encourage other interested persons to do join our social drive. Together we will always keep coming forward as a ray of hope for institutions like VISKASAN, so that they always have a ray of hope in the society.”

As part of the philanthropic work, the group on October 20 visited state-run middle school in Bandua, Namkum and items worth Rs Rs 1.75 lakhs. "Every month we identify areas of contributing back to the Society where we live in. Presently we have more than 77 donors and we want to increase this number in coming months," said Poddar. On June 23, the organization visited Sarvangin Gram Vikas Sanstha, a social organization in Khunti which works in the fields of education and healthcare uplifting poor, deprived and underprivileged children and distributed school dresses among children of different age groups along with a number of sports items.

On May 19, members of Paradise visited Karuna, an orphanage in Ranchi and distributed specialised baby milk powder, diapers, fruits, biscuits, clothes, bed sheets and chocolates to children.
