Panic prevailed at Purana Nagar area after a partially decomposed body was found on Tuesday deceased went missing on August 16 and his body was recovered on Tuesday; Govindpura police have started investigation. According to the police, the body was spotted near deceased’s house on Tuesday.
The deceased identified as Bobby Valmiki went missing on August 16.
After spotting the body police was informed and on the receipt a team reached the spot and started investigation. SHO Govindpura Ashok Parihar said that the body was found near the house but no one spotted as the areas was swampy and was not searched by the locals and family members.
The deceased used to work as sweeper and heavily addicted to liquor.
The body is 3-4 days old. The reason could not be ascertained as the post mortem report is awaited.
In the initial investigation no injury marks were visible and if there are any post mortem could reveal, he added.
The deceased died of excessive consumption of liquor is the prime possibility while suicide and murder could be investigated.
The circumstantial evidences suggest that the deceased had committed suicide but reason behind the suicide remained unknown.
The possibility of deceased was poisoned and dumped could not be ruled out but nothing could not be ascertained as the post mortem report is awaited. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
