PCR receives 300 poll-related Complaints

On the polling day in national Capital, more than 300 calls regarding poll-related complaints have been received by the Delhi Police Control Room (PCR). Most of the calls were regarding the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) glitches and minor quarrel among political party workers.

According to a senior police official, the nature of calls primarily ranged from putting more tables, canvassing inside restricted area, quarrel among party workers and EVM glitches, etc.

“However, no serious complaint was reported throughout the day,” said the senior police official.

 “In total, 337 PCR calls were received till 6 pm regarding election-related complaints and they were promptly attended to,” said a police official. 

The Delhi Police had made elaborate security arrangements for the smooth conduct of general elections held in the national Capital.
