Haryana Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, T.V.S.N Prasad on Friday directed all the Deputy Commissioners to send the list of pending pension related cases at the earliest, so that such cases can be disposed off immediately.

Addressing all the Deputy Commissioners in Pension Adalats organised in all districts, through video conferencing here, Prasad said that the Accountant General (AG) of Haryana had received 64,000 pension revision cases, out of which 50,000 cases have been revised and the remaining 14,000 cases would be revised within two months by AG, Haryana.

The programme was aimed at quick redressal of grievances of all pensioners in the state. On this occasion, the dues of 369 pensioners of the State, were paid.During the video conferencing, Prasad said that officers would be deputed from the headquarters to resolve the pending pension cases in Jind, Kaithal and other districts.

He said that Haryana government is soon going to launch 'Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana' to provide social security to every family, having annual income upto Rs 1.80 lakh, in the form of life insurance and accident insurance.  Under this scheme, the eligible family would get an amount of Rs 6,000 annually.

Out of this amount, under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, the life insurance premium of each family member in the eligible age group of 18 to 50 years will be paid automatically from their account. Under this, an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh will be provided in case of death of the beneficiary.

Apart from this, under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, the accident insurance premium of each family member in the eligible age group of 18 to 70 years will also be automatically paid from their account. Under this, an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh will be provided in case of accidental death of the beneficiary, he added.

Principal Accountant General (A and E) Haryana, Vishal Bansal said that the e-post system has been started by him, under which all the pension related information is sent to the online post offices in the districts, which download the same information from their servers and send it to the beneficiary immediately.

He said that earlier information was sent to the beneficiaries through post offices and correspondence, which always had a possibility of getting delayed and sometimes was not even received by the beneficiary. Therefore, for the convenience of pensioners, the e-post system has been introduced.
