People’s power in State will eradicate poverty: CM

Chief Minister Kamal  Nath said that the people of the State are its real power. This power will help end the poverty, unemployment while transforming it into an energetic and developed State.

Nath in his message to people on Independence Day extended greetings. He said that in a little span of time the State Government has taken some radical decisions and launched schemes.

Citing them, he said that over 20 lakh farmers' crop loans have been waived off. He informed that a large number of farmers had taken multiple loans on the same land resource.

After scrutiny, their loans will also be waived. He said that the farmers will get Rs. 160 per quintal for sale of wheat in Rabi 2018-19.

The incentive amount will be be deposited in their respective accounts.

He informed that the Cooperative Banks' capital liquidity will be increased for which a scheme of Rs 3000 crore is being planned out. Total Rs 1,000 crore has already been issued.

The Chief Minister said that atmosphere of faith is being built up for attracting investment for which 'Magnificent Madhya Pradesh' event will be organised at Indore on October 18, 19 and 20.

The successful industrialists from the state would be made brand ambassadors. Industry Advisory Council will be formed.

In just seven months time, 6,158 crore capital investment has come to the state. 

The aim is that each district has at least an industrial area.

In Ujjain, Dindori, Alirajpur and Betul districts new industrial areas are coming up.

In order to promote powerloom sector, a special package is being designed.

With a view to harnessing employment opportunity in horticulture and food processing, new scheme is being chalked out.

He said that a law is being framed to make it mandatory to give 70 percent jobs to local people in the industrial units being set up in the State.
