On the second day of the Yashodhara festival play "Satyabodh" based on Buddha's Jataka Tales was staged. The play was performed at Madhya Prasesh State Tribal Museum here on Sunday.
It was directed by Ravindra Kushwaha (Godan). The play is written by Mahadeo Singh Lakhawat.
This story begins with village, where a monk lives and has a very good image in the entire village. He receives daily alms in the village.
After some time very intelligent knowledgeable monks arrives in that village. All are amazed by their talk, behavior, conduct, knowledge and aura. By accepting Seth's request, the knowledgeable monk lives there.
The monk of the village starts to be afraid with that knowledgeable monk; he fears that the whole village is giving more respect to the knowledgeable monk and his followers will now be followers of that knowledgeable monk.
The knowledgeable monk understands his intentions and leaves the village in a happy mood.
This deed by the monk of the village chases him until many of his births, in many lives he took the form of animals, but he was always hungry. Eventually he was human again, but the deed done in their previous life was with him.
