Hundreds of CISF personnel took part in the mega 'Plogging run' on Saturday from Red Fort Metro Station to Rajghat, in order to create awareness among general public towards cleanliness drive. Plogging run is a part of 'Swachhta Pakhwada' an initiative where the people pick up plastics and wastes while jogging.
The "Swachhta Pakhwada" which is being organised by CISF from 1st to 15th December had the presence of all 346 CISF Units, 12 Reserve Battalions, 09 Training Institutions, sector/zone/group head quarters across the country.
The Plogging Run was flagged off from Red Fort by A K Pateria, SDG, CISF, who also led the Plogging Run. Further, the run also saw the presence of senior ranking officials such as Jagbir Singh, IG, Udyan Banarjee, IG, Sudhanshu Kumar, IG (NS), Vikram Singh Mann, IG, Sudhir Kumar, IG and other Senior officers of CISF.
The CISF will further carry a mass swachchta drive for next 15 days at public places such as bus stops, parks, nearby river banks and in other places such as hospitals, temples, drainages. Also, it will conduct plantation drive along this during the program.
