Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the progress made by state’s aspirational districts of Kanker, Kondagaon and Sukma, during the interaction with chief secretary R P Mandal through video-conferencing on Wednesday.
Prime Minister was chairing the 31st interaction through PRAGATI – the ICT based multi-modal platform for pro-active governance and timely implementation.
Prime Minister laid emphasis on focussing on education and healthcare of tribal children. He laid stress on the need to decide on timelines to bring the backward districts up to the national average and deployment of young officers in aspirational districts.
During the interaction, state chief secretary briefed Prime Minister on the National Agriculture Market (ANM) and transformation of aspirational districts programme. He said that in 14 Mandis (agriculture market) basic hardware and internet services have been provided in the state. Laboratory for quality testing have also been established.
