PM to inaugurate Sahibganj port on Sept 12

Chief Minister Ragubar Das today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Ranchi on September 12 to inaugurate Sahibganj inland port and new Assembly building in Ranchi. The CM while speaking at the UJJWALA Didis conference in Dumka on Thursday said that the inauguration of the port and the inauguration of the waterway will be a means of recognizing Sahibganj as a business center and providing direct and indirect employment to the local youth. The goal of the government is to move Santhal pargana forward.

He said that new thinking is needed for new Jharkhand and new Santhal Pargana. “The state government has taken a step forward. You have to be the champion of development happening in Santhal Pargana.

AIIMS in Deoghar, Santhal pargana will be launched soon. Enrollment in Dumka Medical College has already started. 100 students will be able to study medical in their own State and county or city, he said.

The CM greeted and thanked Ujjwala Didis and said that the feeling of doing something for society in all of them is a positive message. “Through you the LPG kitchen in the village will be safe. Also, you will cover those families with Ujjwala scheme, who have not got the benefit of the scheme. In such a situation, it can be said that by September 30, the

 government will be able to meet the target of giving LPG gas connections and stove to 10 lakh sisters. Ujjwala Didis will be trained to provide safe kitchen in the village. For this, 70 women from Sakhi Mandal in Ranchi will be trained as master trainers from September 9, who will train Ujjwala Didis at the block level and make them efficient in the safe use of LPG. Just as the identity card has

been issued to the Ujjwala Didis in Dumka, similarly the identity cards will be given to the Ujjwala Didis of the entire State,” said the CM.

The Cm said that the daughters and sons of Jharkhand have carved a distinct identity in the field of sports across the country.

He said that women power is the power of the society, the power of the State is only by empowering the woman power. It is the aim of Ujjwala Didi Conference to make women power the power of the society and the power of the State. As many as 80 lakh government school children to have uniforms or provide quality ready-to-eat to the new borns or the soil doctor who examines the soil of the farmers' fields, all the help of women of State is being taken  to pave the way for their economic independence, said he.

On this occasion, the CM handed over additional LPG refill to Shanti Devi, Santoshi Marandi, Nilmuni Devi and Reena Devi.

He gave identity cards to the Didis for their recognition to the Ujjwala Didis. Das also benefitted the beneficiaries of Golden Card, Sukanya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Birsa Awas Yojana, Babasaheb Ambedkar Awas Yojana under Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

Ministers Louis Marandi, Raj Paliwar, Randhir Singh, Dumka MP Sunil Soren, MLAs Ashok Bhagat, Narayan Das, Amit Mandal, 20-point programme vice chairman Rakesh Prasad, Divisional Commissioner, Dumka, DIG, DC, Dumka, SP Dumka alongwith several other people were present.
