Teelajamalpura police have nabbed five vehicle-lifters including two minors near Putlighar bus stand and recovered stolen vehicle worth Rs 5.25 lakh from their possession on Friday.
According to the police, acting on a tip off a man with a motorbike bearing registration MP04MU6233 when he was asked details regarding the vehicle he failed to produce details of the vehicle. The nabbed accused was identified as Arbaz alias Lal Badshah(19).
In the initial investigation nabbed accused confessed that the motorbike was stolen from Teelajamalpura and along with his accomplices Rajkumar Yadav(27), Shahrukh (19) and two minors stolen around a dozen two wheelers from different parts of Bhopal.
The police have recovered 4 scooter and 8 motorbikes. All the vehicles are stolen in the past few months. The friends and family members would be questioned in the investigation which could help in obtaining more details of earlier crimes and involvement in other crimes.
Police said that the different vacant and abandoned spaces were used to park the stolen bike and which were to be sold later. During the investigation police have not found any criminal record of the miscreant and told that search for the crime record would be done in the further investigation.
Police said that the vehicles were stolen from Teelajamalpura, Koh-e-Fiza, Kotwali, TT Nagar, MP Nagar and Jehangirabad police station areas. Vidisha. The details of recovered vehicles would be provided to the respect police stations.
The police have started search for other accomplices who have helped the accused in stealing and disposing the vehicles
