n Teelajamalpura police have nabbed 58-year-old rape accused having  reward of Rs 3000 on Saturday. 12 people have been arrested in gang rape, kidnap and sexual exploitation case of minor in the month of December  last year in  Teelajamalpura locality.

The arrested accused identified as Sukhdev Ghosh alias Dastgeer alias Divyang who was one of the accused of gang rape was nabbed by police on Saturday.

Sukhdev was posted as superintendent with GST department. He went missing after the case was registered against the accused involved in the crime. 

 Notably a total of 11 persons were arrested including the main accused and over half a dozen are still at large. The main Bhaiiya Kabutar accused do not hold any crime record but he was key accused in gang rape and providing victim to the women involved in flesh trade.

The accused was acquainted with the girl and took her and later he and his friends raped the victim. The accused handed over the victim to woman who was involved in flesh trade and engaged the victim in her work and she faced atrocities by several men through the woman.

In the case Priyanka Chouhan and Priyanka Marawi were nabbed along with other accused. The two were involved in offering victim to customers. The police have registered a case under section 365, 366, 366-A, 376 (3), 376 (DA), 370 (4), 120 (B) of the IPC and section 5 and 6 of the POCSO Act.

Meanwhile Shahpura police have nabbed three miscreants from a park at Baba Nagar and recovered sharp edged weapons and tools meant for breaking locks and cutting metals in the night on Friday.

According to the police, acting on a tip off, regarding miscreants planning burglary and nabbed three miscreants and when they were questioned they confessed planning burglary at Indus Empire society.

The three miscreants were identified as Bablu alias Ballya (23), Chotu Yadav (19) of 12 no. stop area and Deepak (26) of Damkheda. The nabbed miscreants have been booked by Kolar and Shahpura police for burglary and other crimes.

Police have registered a case under section 401 of the IPC and section 25 of the Arms Act.
