Piplani police have nabbed two vehicle-lifter from Ratnagiri area and recovered 15 two-wheelers worth Rs 9 lakh from their possession on Friday.

According to the police, acting on a tip off two men were detained with auto-rickshaw (Aape) which was having no registration number plate at the front and only registration number plate with number MP04RA873.

The two were quizzed and when they were asked details regarding the vehicle they failed to provide details and confessed that the vehicle was stolen from Ratnagiri trisection. The nabbed accused were identified as Kailash Kushwaha (23) of Karond and Bhupendra Panthi (26) of Bhanpur.

In the initial investigation police have recovered two scooter and 12 motorbikes from their possession which were stolen from different areas of the city. Police said that the parking spaces were used to park the stolen bike and which were to be sold later. During the investigation police would investigate criminal record of the miscreants.

The details of recovered vehicles would be provided to the respect police stations. The police have started search for other accomplices who have helped the accused in stealing and disposing the vehicles. Meanwhile Kolar police have nabbed a drug peddler from Hinotia Alam and recovered drugs worth Rs 20,000 from their possession late in the night on Friday.

Police said that acting on a tip-off regarding a man carrying drugs was nabbed and when he was searched Cannabis was recovered from his possession.
