The Giridih police on Monday declared that the brutal murder case of a 50-year-old CCL security supervisor Jaiprakash Singh alias Bhola Singh has been solved with the arrests of two accused.

"We have arrested two accused, who were part of the conspiracy to kidnap and kill the victim," Giridih SDPO Jit Wahan Oraon said. The police had first arrested one individual, identified as Papu Marin, for the murder of the security officer after his decomposed body was found dumped near Bhaduapahari around four kilometres from his home within Muffasil police station limits. The body was discovered on July 14, about 15 days after he went missing.

On Saturday, another accused was arrested identified as Shohel Shekh the close associate of prime accused Papu Marin. The police said Shohel Shekh helped the accused to hide the security Inspector's body. The police also said Jaiprakash's clothes were used to drape the victim's body, and his motorbike was dumped in CCL pit near Bhaduapahari, which was later recovered by police.

Sources in the SIT team probing the murder case said the body might had been hidden in burning coal after the crime. So the team on Sunday have recovered only few bones of victim and it has been sent for forensic examination.

A senior police officer, however, refused to comment on the development.

Police sources said that two criminals stabbed to death security supervisor Jai Prakash Singh on his way to mines on July1, 2019 and dumped his body in burning coal mines in Bhaduapahari area while his motorcycle was also dumped in CCL well.
