The Paradip Port Trust (PPT) began observance of “Swachhta Hi Sewa” from September 11 to October 2 under the instructions of the Central Government.
The observance started with taking of the Swachhta pledge by all the PPT officers and employees in the lobby of Administrative Building administered by PPT Chairman Rinkesh Roy on Wednesday.
The PPT has already drawn up action plan for the period which includes awareness drive among workers and staff of all Departments and PPT Divisions and local community, cleaning activities in colonies and sites, holding Swachhta awareness workshop in local schools, cleanliness drive in local slums, displaying Swachhta awareness hoardings and digital display at important locations in the township with special emphasis on plastic waste management.
