Probationer IAS officers meet Guv

Probationer Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the 2018 batch of Uttarakhand cadre made a courtesy call on Governor Baby Rani Maurya on Tuesday at Raj Bhawan.

Congratulating the trainee officers, the Governor said that IAS officers of Uttarakhand cadre are fortunate to have opportunity to serve the Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Their role in overall development of the people of Uttarakhand is going to be very important. As district magistrate, head of the department, or officials of Government, they have to implement various developmental schemes. Maurya further said that Uttarakhand is a State with special geographical conditions. Officials should know the challenges and possibilities considering this aspect. The State is also vulnerable to natural calamities but its splendorous beauty makes it a favourite among tourist places on the global map. Providing employment to the youths and women of the State can ensure the overall development here. Girl education should also be given priority.

Secretary to the Governor, Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu, additional secretary, Personnel, Atar Singh Chauhan, probationer IAS officers Vishal Mishra, Apurn Pandey, Akanksha Verma, Prateek Jain, Anshul Singh and Manish Kumar were among those present on the occasion.
