PSIEC to make available medallions to people in commemoration of parkash utsav

Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation Limited (PSIEC) has been assigned the task of making available the commemorative medallions in connection with the celebration of 550th birth anniversary of Sikhs’ first master, Guru Nanak Dev.

The state’s Additional Chief Secretary (Industries and Commerce), Vini Mahajan on Sunday said that the PSIEC had made arrangements with the MMTC for the purpose of designing and fabrication of these commemorative medallions, which would be made available in both India and overseas to the devotees and general public.

A soft launch of these medallions was held on this occasion of Baisakhi on Sunday at Phulkari, PSIEC Emporium, in Chandigarh’s Sector 17 by PSIEC general manager (export) Sukhdip Singh Sidhu.

PSIEC managing director Rahul Bhandari said that these commemorative medallions have also been certified from the MMTC for 999 purity in both Gold and Silver with attractive blister packing, in 24 K gold, these are available in five and 10 gms (999purity) and in 50 gms pure silver (999 purity).

“The sale price of five gms gold (999 purity) is Rs 18,500, Rs 37,000 for 10 gm gold (999 purity) and 50 gms silver (999 purity) would be sold at Rs 2,900.

Sidhu said that these commemorative medallions would be sold through Phulkari Emporiums of PSIEC situated at Chandigarh, Amritsar, Patiala, Delhi and Kolkata. Besides, the MMTC would also be selling these at their retail outlets located throughout India.

PSIEC is also undertaking the process of making available these commemorative medallions to the devotees and general public through leading banks and e-commerce platform, he added.

Meanwhile, the PSIEC had also released commemorative medallions in the past on the occasion of 300th year of Khalsa foundation celebrations which attracted huge response worldwide.
