Ajay Pratap Singh, head of the Civil Department of Radharaman Engineering College, was recently felicitated with the award for “Professor with Huge Potential” for a research article.
He wrote the research article on the subject of road safety for students at a two-day international conference held in Indore.
The conference was organized by Research Foundation of India, World Federation of Science and Technology and was under the joint auspices of APJ Abdul Kalam University.
In this programme, Public Relations Officer of Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, Bhopal, Shashiranjan was the only special guest present. During this time, many eminent personalities, who have done special work all over India in many fields like education, social service, health, were felicitated.
In his research article written on the subject of road safety, Dr. Singh apprised students of road accidents caused by technical defects. He attributed a lot of road geometric characteristics such as inadequate site distance, access gradients, improper design of vertical curves, lack of friction and excess to unfilled pits resulting in increasing number of road accidents. At the same time, he also recommended to conduct road safety audit every year for each road.
Chairman of Radharaman Group of Institutions RR Saxena wished Singh and appreciated for his achievement, he has called for further such research work in future so that his work can prevent deaths in road accident.
