In addition to bringing much needed relief from the soaring temperatures, the rainfall expected in the state on June 18, 19 and 20 will also help the farmers in the state.
State Meteorological Centre scientist Rohit Thapliyal said, “The expected rainfall will be helpful for the farmers both in mountainous as well as in the plain regions.
In places like Udham Singh Nagar, Haridwar and some parts of the mountainous regions like in Pauri the sowing of paddy is done in this season.
This rainfall will moisten the soil which will be very helpful for the farmers in these regions.”
