Rainfall at isolated places in State

Spell of rainfall at isolated places occurred here for the second consecutive day on Saturday and similar weather conditions were witnessed across the state.

In the past 24 hours Bhopal, Depalpur, Rajgarh recorded 3 cm each which was the highest rainfall in the state. Among other regions Raisen, Sailana, Raheli and Damoh recorded 2 cm of rainfall.

Weather pattern would prevail for the next 24 hours, thunder showers, winds storms and speedy winds of 40-50 km/hr would be witnessed across the state. The speedy would be for brief periods. In the state 15 districts are likely to receive rainfall at several places while remaining regions would witness rainfall at isolated places.

Several regions in Gwalior, Jabalpur, Bhopal and Ujjain recorded rainfall while few places in Rewa, Sagar, Indore and Hoshangabad recorded rainfall. Highest day temperature was recorded at 44 degree Celsius in Khajuraho and Nowgong.

After heavy spell on Friday and good rainfall on Saturday day temperature dipped to 36.2 degree Celsius and night temperature was recorded at 27.2 degree Celsius in the state capital.  Bhopal recorded 1.45 cm of rainfall, Mandla recorded 8 mm of rainfall, Satna, Sagar, Jabalpur and Nowgong also witnessed rainfall on Saturday.

According to the forecast Bhopal would witness partial cloudy conditions, thundery activities and light rainfall.

The temperatures would be recorded on the higher side due to lack of good spell of rainfall in the next 24 hours.

Temperatures in Hoshangabad division recorded significant rise in the temperatures on Saturday and Jabalpur, Indore and Ujjain divisions have recorded increase in day temperatures.
