Raipur Railway station has become the first in South East Central Railway zone and Raipur Railway Division to install ‘rolling-in-rolling-out hut (digitalisation)’ on Wednesday.
During the dedication ceremony, Raipur Division Railway Manager Kaushal Kishore, ADRM Shiv Shankar Lakra ADRM Amitav Choudhary and other staff were present.
The installation is considered as part of the digitalisation of railway operations apart from enhancing the security and safety of passengers. Monitoring of all the passengers trains arriving at Raipur Railway station and moving out of Railway Station will be done through these huts.
Earlier, this functioning was being done through mechanical department employees who inspected the trains. Generally, all the mechanical system of trains mainly braking system, any hanging part under the trains are checked.
With digitalisation, all these checking will be done through 1920x1080 resolution 11 high-speed cameras which will record all the parts of moving train which will then be transmitted to control department. The video is recorded in a 6TB hard-disc and the system cost is around Rs 4.9 lakh. If any fault is found, then timely repair work can be undertaken.
