Around 10,000 Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members, the youth wing of BJP will line up on the road from Birsa Munda International Airport to Birsa Chowk for making the Prime Minister road show a memorable affair here on Tuesday.

A meeting in this connection was held at BJP office under the chairmanship of State BJP general secretary, Deepak Prakash and members of BJYM.

Prakash said, “The BJYM workers will line up on the street wearing Modi T shirt as part of welcoming the Prime Minister.” Prakash said, the BJYM workers carrying party flags and traditional drums will welcome Modi. At Birsa Chowk, the PM will pay floral tributes to Birsa Munda.

Apart from BJYM and BJP workers large number of people from all walks of society will be present at Birsa Chowk. Modi will also interact with some people at Birsa Chowk. As the road show is likely to be attended by large number of people, the district administration for convenience of people has made temporary parking arrangements, where people can park their vehicles.

PM Narendra Modi’s road show, the first in the Capital City for general election assumes importance as it is likely to send a positive message to BJP workers soliciting support for BJP candidate Sanjay Seth. The BJP has replaced five time sitting MP Ram Tahal Chaudhary with Seth who has worked as BJP worker for more than three decades.  The Ranchi Lok Sabha seat is likely to witness triangular contest between Seth, Ram Tahal Chaudhary and Congress candidate supported by Mahagathbandhan, Subodh Kant Sahay.

Modi will reach Birsa Munda International Airport at 5.30 pm from where he will carry out a road show till Birsa Chowk. From Birsa Chowk, Modi will leave for Raj Bhavan passing through Birsa Rajpath covering a distance of nearly 5 km. At Raj Bhavan, Modi will have night stay and on next day he will leave for Lohardaga, where he will address a rally in support of BJP candidate and Minister of State for Tribal affairs Sudarshan Bhagat.

Bhagat is pitted against Congress Sukhdeo Bhagat, the Lohardaga MLA and former State Congress president.

In Lohardaga, the PM rally will be held at BS College stadium. The Lohardaga district administration has made elaborate arrangement for PM’s rally. Three helipads have been constructed near the venue. The Lohardaga district administration also convened a meeting which was attended by Lohardaga DC, SP and officials from SPG. A huge pandal is being erected for rally. More than 4000 security personnel will be deployed at the venue as part of security arrangements for PM’s rally.

The Lohardaga parliamentary constituency is one of the biggest Lok Sabha segment area wise in State as the constituency touches three districts—Ranchi, Lohardaga and Gumla district. Sources said that the BJP cadres from all five assembly segments have been asked to mobilize support for Modi rally. Out of five assembly segments, the BJP has three MLAs (Mandar, Gumla and Sisai) from parliamentary constituency.

Deepak Prakash said, “Though the PM rally in Lohardaga will give message across the State especially in tribal dominated Lok Sabha segments such as Khunti, Singhbhum, Palamu and Chatra constituencies which borders Lohardaga Lok Sabha segment.”
