Rotary holds seminar on ‘Lead without Topic’

Saturday, 31 August 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

Rotary Ranchi organised a seminar on ‘Lead without Topic’ emphasising on recognising one’s power to change at Rotary Hall, Ranchi.

Addressing the gathering, motivator, former commercial tax officer and CEO of Ranchi Mall, Rajiv Gupta, said that knowledge should be the basis of our studies and not following the rat race blindly.

“By blindly following the race of modernity, we are scaring our children and instilling a fear of career in them. This is also limiting their ability. Leadership is a quality not limited to a few and it should be made an important life lesson at any age,” said Gupta.

“The current situation is such that the smarter we are becoming, the more stupid we are becoming and our education system is to be blamed for it. It is taking us forward but at the same time, we our losing our moral values. If we our able to fix this system, then most problems will get solved and we will progress equally, socially and economically,” added the CEO.

Gupta also said that everyone has a unique quality and the ability to become a leader which needs to be realised. “Because of our weaknesses, the corporate and the environment take advantage. We need to be strong and overcome such situations showing our capacity.”

The speaker also said that the Government should make policies on the basis of the ground reality. “Our leaders should understand our needs because this is our country. We need to contribute in some way for the prosperity of the society and the country,” Gupta added.

Rotary President Aditya Malhotra expressed concern over the changing human behaviour due to social media. “There is no doubt that technology has brought us closer but it has also hampered the natural connection between us. We need to come out of the world of social media and connect with nature,” said Malhotra.

Secretary Gaurav Bagrai, Amit Agarwal, CM Gupta, Rajiv Modi, Sudhir Mishra Suresh Saboo, Rabia Paul and others were present at the seminar.
