Rs 1L jewellery, idol burgled from Old Subhash Nagar

Gold and silver jewellery and silver idol worth Rs 1 lakh were burgled from a house at Old Subhash Nagar under Aishbagh police station area on Wednesday.

Police said that the victim Prakash Chaturvedi was gone to meet his son in Ayodhya Nagar and when he returned the lock of the main door was found broken and valuables were found burgled.

A complaint was lodged with the Aishbagh police stating that he had gone to meet his son in Ayodhya Nagar and when he returned lock was found broken and on entering the house valuables were found missing.

The almirah having the valuables was targeted while other valuables were not disturbed. The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

Meanwhile, valuables worth Rs 65,000 were burgled from Banjari D-Sector under Kolar police station area on Wednesday. The victim Ramkrishna Sedani had gone to visit his relatives and when he returned on Wednesday the valuables were found burgled.

In his complaint victim stated that gold and silver jewelry and Rs 20000 cash were burgled. The total loss in the burglary was Rs 65000 claimed the victim. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and started further investigation. The victim works with a construction company and was present at the time of the burglary.

The domestic help and locals would be questioned in the further investigation, said police. Police have started further investigation and said that the CCTV installed in the nearby areas would be investigated.
