Rs 2 lakh assets stolen  from Celestial Hotel

Valuables worth Rs 2 lakh were stolen from Celestial Park Hotel during marriage ceremony on Friday; Misrod police registered a case of theft and started investigation.

According to the police victim Bhagwati Charan Patel’s son’s marriage ceremony was on Friday and during the marriage a bag having the valuables was stolen from the venue.

Bhagwati’s wife Asha Patel was carrying the bag and was busy with marriage ceremony when the bag was stolen. The victim informed the family members and search was conducted at the venue but nothing was found at the venue and later a complaint was lodged with Misrod police.

After preliminary investigation the police registered a case under section 379 of the IPC and have started further investigation. In the complaint the victim has claimed that the bag was having gold jewelry and envelops carrying cash worth Rs 2 lakh. Meanwhile, valuables worth Rs 60000 were stolen from Qazi Camp on Friday under Hanumanganj police station area; a case was registered on Friday. According to the police the victim Mumtaz alias Guru Salma had gone to Magalwara in the night on Wednesday and on Friday neighbor informed that the lock is broken and valuables were burgled.

The victim returned and after checking missing valuables and lodged a complaint with the Hanumanganj police and has claimed valuables worth Rs 60,000 were taken away.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started investigation.
