Two plays ‘Sapna’ and ‘Afwah’ marked the first day of Children's Theatre Festival. The theatre fest began at Shaheed Bhavan on Thursday.
The play Sapna is about dreams of a young boy whereas, Afwah is about the cruelty and greed. Sapna was directed by Anandi Mishra and Afwah was directed by Megha Thakur. Both the plays were presented by Children's Theatre Academy.
The three day theatre festival is being organised by Children's Theatre Academy after a month long theatre workshop.
The event began with Sapna. Sapna is a story of a young boy Manglu who lives in a village. Manglu is a bright boy who wants to study and make a bright future not only for himself but for other kids of his village.
Every year his grandfather visist him during vacations and used to teach him in bits and pieces. Till this time Manglu began to understand the alphabets and sentence making. Then he tried his best to get admitted in school. He joins school and starts studying hard.
As he began his schooling and began to understand things, he began to teach other kids of the village. Hos hard work brought results and other kids also joined the school. Then Manglu grew up and began his higher studies in city. He is now a scientist and has also built a bright future for other kids. Next play was Afwah which was all about people who tries to let others believe their lies. Both the plays were performed beautifully leaving the audience enthralled.
