The State Bank of India (SBI), Bhubaneswar Circle on Sunday completed the first round of bottom-up ideation exercise for further streamlining the banking sector to help the nation become a $ 5-trillion economy in five years.
SBI Bhubaneswar Circle CGM Praveena Kala emphasised that the bank and its branches has embarked on a month-long campaign on the direction of Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance with the aim to generate suggestions and ideas from the branch-level for preparing roadmap for the future growth of the banking sector.
The suggestion and ideas solicited for smooth and enhanced credit absorption by senior citizens, agricultural farmers, students, small enterprisers, tiny sector, woman keeping close view on their requirements and expectations.
The meet also reviewed the bank’s performance and its alignment with national priorities in areas such as credit support to infrastructure, industry, farm sector and blue economy,
Jal Shakti, SME Sector and MUDRA loans, educational loans, export credit, and others.
The consultative process aimed at renewed sense of involvement down to the branch-level to improve performance and align with national aim of $ 5-trillion economy in next 5 years.
