The State Bank of India (SBI), in its endeavour to boost ethical international trade transactions, participated in a one-day seminar on digitisation of trade and cryptos and a capacity-building workshop for bankers, exporters and importers, conducted by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) here on Tuesday.
The seminar was inaugurated by Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Bhubaneswar, Praveena Kala. Eastern Media Limited MD and Vice-President, ICC Bhubaneswar, Monica Nayyar Pattnaik gave the welcome remarks.
The speakers in the seminar were industry stalwarts like Corporate Advisor and Trainer, International Trade and Finance K Parameswaram, Consultant, Re-skilling specialist and Financial Crime trainer Ganesh Vishwanathan and General Manager, IBG, State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai, Rajay Sinha.
Through the seminar, they put thrust on the need for bankers to come forward to achieve the common goal of digitisation in global trade.
Highlighting the role and their unique capabilities in Trade Finance, Kala highlighted the importance of foreign trade, especially in the wake of taking India to USD 5tn Economy.
The seminar was a hub for intellectual deliberation with the industry leaders, sharing their views on the agenda and appealing to the audience to contribute in the digitisation and safety of international trade practices.
