Chief Minister Raghubar Das torched the effigies of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhkarn at the historic Morhabadi ground and Argora on Tuesday saying that Vijaya Dashmi is the festival of the triumph of truth over falsehood, justice over injustice and non-violence over violence.
The CM said that on Dusshera lord Ram had killed Ravana and Maa Durga had killed Mahishasur. “In today’s times several evil forces are growing in our country. Today is the day to take pledge of ending them. Prime Minister Modi Ji by ending Article 370 killed one such evil force and made Kashmir a true part of India. Similarly, he has made strict laws against terrorism and broke the confidence of terrorists. This all became possible due to strong will power,” said the CM. Das said that today is Air Force Day. “Our Defence Minister Rajnath Singh received the weapon of the deadliest war aircraft Rafale according to Indian culture. It is a day of glory for all of us,” he said.
The CM said, “Many anti-national powers are prevailing in our State too. We have to resolve to eliminate them. For us, nation is first and foremost. We have to deal with these powers by tying them all in one thread. We have to be united by not getting misguided by anyone. We have to eradicate the ‘Asura’ of plastic. We have to take a pledge that we will remove single use plastic from our lives. This is very important for our future generation,” he said.
Urban Development Minister CP Singh, Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, MLA Navin Jaiswal, Deputy Mayor of Ranchi Sanjeev Vijayvargiya, office bearers of Punjabi-Hindu Biradari and Surga Puja and Ravan Dahan committee, Argora along with thousands of people were present on occasion.
