The Dehradun SSP instructed the officers and policemen stationed in and outside the counting centre that under no circumstances should any person without valid permission enter the premises.

The agents appointed by the political parties also under no circumstances are allowed to bring briefcase, matchbox, combustible things and weapons. According to the directions issued by Election Commission of India, no person shall be allowed to bring mobile phones inside the counting room and counting premises, which is why officers and employees entering inside the said areas will also not be allowed to bring their mobile phones. No vehicle shall be allowed inside 100 metres radius of the counting centre.

The counting centre is encircled by two cordons. For the security arrangements of the outer cordon, three barriers have been installed.

Three mobile parties will be stationed near all three barriers. Superintendent of Police (city) Shweta Choubey will be responsible for the security of counting centre and for the parking facilities and other traffic outside SP Traffic Prakash Chandra Arya will be responsible.
