Seminar held on strengthening economy

Following the instructions of the PM Narendra Modi, banks in the district are gearing up to strengthen the nation’s economy.  The Punjab National Bank, Haridwar, organised a two-day seminar to discuss ways to strengthen the economy of the country. Senior managers and officials of 86 branches of the bank participated in the seminar. 

Many dream projects for strengthening the country’s economy were suggested which included introduction of easy loan systems by the bank, enhancing agricultural loans and encouraging small and medium enterprises, digitalisation of the banks and improving ATM systems. Addressing the seminar head of PNB Haridwar division, Neerendra Kumar said, “Punjab National Bank is working towards strengthening the economy of the country as per directives given by PM Narendra Modi. Our senior managers from four districts and 86 branches participated in the seminar.” He further added that the business of PNB in the region is estimated to be Rs 11,000 crore.
